When is the Portsmouth Police Department open?

The Portsmouth Police Department's Patrol Division is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.   

When is the Records Division open?

The Portsmouth Police Department's Record Division is generally open Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.  The Records Division is closed on weekends and holidays.

How do I obtain a yard sale permit?

Yard sale permits are free of charge and can be picked up at any time from the police station.  The officer working at the front desk will ask you for the date of the yard sale as well as the start and end time of the yard sale.  The information you provide will be documented by the officer whom will then issue you the permit.
