The Town of Portsmouth has the following employment opportunities available:
   

- Snow Plow Operators: The Town of Portsmouth seeks individuals to work on-call, as needed, operating Town vehicles to assist the Public Works Department with snow removal. Applicants must possess a valid driver's license, CDL not required. Completed applications may be submitted in person to the Human Resources Office or emailed to lpuglia@portsmouthri.gov no later than 2:00 pm, Friday, December 9, 2022.

- Police Officers: The Town of Portsmouth currently has an open enrollment hiring process for Police Officers. The application period will be continuous and open until all positions are filled. There is a streamlined process for Post Certified Lateral Applicants.

Maintenance/Mechanic DPW: The Town of Portsmouth is accepting applications for a full-time Maintenance/Mechanic in the Department of Public Works. Applicants must possess a High School Diploma/GED and must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Applicants must also pass a written examination. Completed applications may be dropped off at Town Hall or emailed to Lisa Puglia at hr@portsmouthri.gov. Deadline for submission is no later than 2:00 pm, Tuesday, February 28, 2023.

DPW Operator 2nd Class: The Town of Portsmouth is accepting applications for an Operator 2nd Class in the Public Works Department.
