Our Mission

The Portsmouth Recreation Department is dedicated to promoting and supporting the health and well-being of all citizens by providing quality recreation and leisure programs. 

Our mission is to offer recreational experiences which integrate spirit, mind, and body, develop a sense of community and belonging, and enhance the overall quality of life in Portsmouth.

Parks, Recreation & Open Space Master Plan

The Town of Portsmouth is currently drafting a Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Master Plan and has entered into the public input phase of the planning project.

Summer Flag Football

Starts June 1, 2022 for Grades K-8

  • Weekday practice and games to be determined by coach
  • Practice and games will be held at Gardner Seveney Sports Complex, Linden Lane
